Oakley
Located in the heart of the California Delta region at the fork of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers, Oakley offers a small town country feel just 50 miles from San Francisco.
Oakley’s proximity to the Delta and key employment centers in the San Francisco Bay Area make it an ideal location to live and raise a family. With the new addition of a vast logistics center at the former Dupot Plant, Amazon and other companies will call this new facility home.
Encouraged by the availability of relatively affordable new housing, the town is among the fastest growing in the state. It offers such amenities as shopping centers, a downtown business district, four elementary schools, two middle schools, a high school, a large community park, and a variety of clubs and service organizations.
Oakley officially became a city in 1999, 101 years after settlers first plotted the town. The new city officials dubbed Oakley “A Place for Families in the Heart of the Delta ”
